Everybody wants the kind of flawless skin and radiant complexion that they see in movies, but few people want to pay for the high priced salon products that celebrities use to get them. Fortunately, expensive beauty care products are not necessary to get the job done. Read on for an extensive list of recipes for all natural beauty care products that you can easily whip up at home.
DIY natural beauty care products
Instead of wasting your money on a commercial nourishing cream, you can make something just as effective out of ingredients you probably have in your kitchen right now.
Combine one large egg with a teaspoon of honey and a quarter cup of either olive oil or coconut oil.
The egg is full of moisture and proteins, and the oil replenishes the natural lipids in your skin. The honey acts as a minor antibacterial agent that fights the microbes that can cause acne.
You can make a very effective, healthy, all natural moisturizing lotion with three simple ingredients: beeswax, aloe vera juice, and wheat germ oil.
Mix half a cup of wheat germ oil and half a cup of aloe vera juice together in a bowl.
Also melt half an ounce of beeswax in a frying pan over a low heat. Add the mixture to the beeswax once it has melted, blending it in continuously. Continue stirring it as it cools until it attains the consistency of a lotion.
The aloe vera improves blood flow and skin health. The wheat germ oil moisturizes and nourishes the skin. The beeswax keeps the skin from losing moisture, and gives the lotion the needed consistency.
If you have problems with acne, try blending a quarter cup of rosewater with a quarter cup of honey. Both rosewater and honey have antibacterial properties, and will keep your pores clear of acne-causing bacteria.
After they are thoroughly blended, add enough green tea leaves to thicken it to a lotion-like consistency. This will make the mixture mildly abrasive, pulling the dirt and oil out of your pores.
You can make a refreshing DIY natural face wash by mixing one eighth cup of cider vinegar together with one eighth cup of honey, and one eighth cup of cucumber pulp. Once they are well blended, add enough green tea leaves to make the mixture into a paste.
The vinegar is mildly acidic, and is effective at pulling dirt and grime off of skin. The honey fights acne-causing bacteria. The other ingredients give it a good consistency and make it mildly abrasive.
Nail polish remover does a lot of damage to your nails, making them soft and prone to chipping and tearing. Using abrasive emery boards do the same thing.
Using these techniques to get rid of stains on your nails is not a good idea if it can possibly be avoided. Before leaping right for the most extreme solution, try soaking your nails for awhile in a mixture of water and lemon juice. The stains will probably come right off after a good soak.
Remember, a lot of these all natural beauty care products are made out of perishable ingredients. You will have to refrigerate some of them. The moisturizing lotion should not be refrigerated, though, or the beeswax will solidify too much.
It takes a little time and effort to prepare these homemade beauty care products, but this is time and effort well spent when you consider the money you are saving yourself over pricey salon-style alternatives. These safe, natural products perform as well as many of the expensive store-bought varieties do.
